"The Torque Armada" is the first episode of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. It first aired on October 2, 2000 on UPN.

Overview

After Team Lightyear apprehends Torque, they are assigned to one of the most boring routine missions: patrolling Tanker Alley. Meanwhile, the Evil Emperor Zurg has Torque freed and provides him with a device that can make duplicates of himself, in exchange for Torque's aid in neutralizing Team Lightyear and destroying Capital Planet.

• The episode title is likely a pun on the name Torquemada. Tomás de Torquemada was the first Grand Inquisitor of the Spanish Inquisition.
