The Mattel toyline was a series of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command action figures released by Mattel. At the time, Mattel was the primary company that produced action figures for the Toy Story films. The first toyline wave was released under Toy Story 2, whereas the second was released under Toy Story and Beyond.

According to sources,[1] there were two waves of action figures. The first wave of action figures released featured Buzz, Booster, XR, Evil Emperor Zurg, and Warp Darkmatter. The three Space Rangers each came with an LGM figure, while the two villains each came with a purple Grub.

The second wave of action figures was dubbed "Cosmic Clash" and featured re-releases of Buzz and Zurg with improved descriptions on their packages, but without the included Grubs and LGMs. Additionally, Buzz, Booster and XR returned with new action figures, and NOS-4-A2 was also included in the line up, considered the Space Rangers' new main foe.

Mira Nova was never released as an action figure and is only featured in McDonald's Happy Meals toys.
