A Space Ranger is what members of Star Command are called, who serve as the peace-keepers and the law enforcers of the galaxy. Their base of operations is Star Command, a vast space station that orbits Capital Planet, the headquarters of the Galactic Alliance. It is a Space Ranger's sworn duty to serve and protect.

- The term "Space Ranger" was first coined on the 1950s television show Rocky Jones: Space Ranger. The Space Ranger insignia is nearly the same logo for the 50s series, and the one used in the Buzz Lightyear series.
