Dirty Work is the twenty-fifth episode of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. It first aired on October 30, 2000, and is the twenty-third episode in production.

Synopsis[]

When demand for food becomes high, Cosmo orders an appliance that multi-tasks all of the kitchen's jobs for his diner. However, when NOS-4-A2 sneaks into the diner and bites the device, the appliance seizes entire control of the diner. Team Lightyear, much to Buzz's chagrin, has to rely on Professor Triffid's unique vegenetic technologies to return the diner back to normal.

Trivia[]

  • When Sally is taking Team Lightyear's orders near the beginning of the episode, one of the items she mentions is a "Pixarian Patty Melt", a reference to Pixar Animation Studios.
  • When XR's head is on the lookout post on Professor Triffid's Rhizoman Solar Clipper, he jokes about iceberg lettuce dead ahead. This is a nod to the infamous tragedy of the RMS Titanic, which collided into an iceberg and sank in in the Atlantic Ocean on April 12, 1912. It could also be argued that when Triffid mentioned about going on a maiden voyage, it was also a nod to the sinking.
  • Just before they battle NOS-4-A2, Triffid says "May the force of nature be with you", a reference to Star Wars.
  • The title of this episode is also the original UK title of a Thomas & Friends episode.

Errors[]

  • When Mira phases out of her space suit from NOS-4-A2's attack, her hand is temporarily white.
  • At one point, Buzz has an eyelash similar to Mira's eyelashes.
  • When Booster, in his undersuit, hands Triffid a vege-suit, his hand and wrist are temporarily white, as if he's still wearing his Ranger suit.
